The Grow Family
The Grow family loves sports, being outside, going to the beach, spending time together, and so much more. They are a family who lives life fully. They care about making a difference in the world, and make life better for everyone they meet. With Carter, the dad, being a police officer for the Provo Police Department, service is a way of life for the whole family.
Just over 2 years ago, their son Harper developed Type 1 diabetes. It threw this fun and loving family into a whole new world. Their world became a fight to learn how to help Harper survive. This is a world of emergency rooms, doctors, finger sticks, insulin, constantly tracking blood sugars. Not to mention all the bills that come with this. They have taken it in stride and it has become the constant presence to everything. It affects every aspect of life. Despite this, they rally around each other, and they fight together and continue to make a difference to the people in their world.
Harper isn’t the only one who has medical issues either during the last couple of years. Many of the other kids have mystery health conditions that they are trying to figure out. While the focus is about the battle with Type 1 diabetes, keep in mind that each member of the Grow family has something big they are dealing with. They have faced a lot.
We are excited to be able to come together to show our love, appreciation, and support for this family that we love. They are always ready to help others and do so much for the community. We are hoping to help bring a bit of financial relief, community support, and even some fun memories to this battle.
It is easy to feel like you are alone when life gets challenging. We want to show them that they are not alone!
